The Central Cultural Fund, Uva Provincial Council and Buduruwagala Fishery Society are implementing the “Tourist Boat Service” around the Buduruwagala Lake with the aim of developing the tourism industry around the Buduruwagala Archeological Precinct and improving the quality of life of the people living around it.

Arrangements have been made to initiate this programme for the tourists at the Buduruwagala lake with the honourable presence of Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake, the Minister of Buddhasasana Religious and Cultural Affairs on 19th of May at 8.00 am.
