According to the 2025 operational plan of the Panduwasnuwara Project, excavation work in the vicinity of the Panchayat (P N B 05) commenced on 18th March 2025. The initiative was undertaken under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of the Panduwasnuwara Temple, Venerable Mirihanegama Sumanasiri Thero, with the participation of the site officer of the Panduwasnuwara Project and other officials.
