May through November is the most ideal season of the year. Three point breaks may be found in Arugam Bay. “The Point,” “Pottuvil Point,” and “Crocodile Rock” are all within an hour’s tuk tuk ride of the hotel, with The Point being visible after a 15-minute walk.
In the summer of 2004, the ISA (International Surfing Association) hosted the first ever international surfing tournament. The surfing season in Arugambay lasts from the beginning of April until the end of October.
