Dunhinda Falls, the most impressive tourist destination in Badulla, is one of Sri Lanka’s mind-boggling waterfalls with a picturesque setting of wild beauty. If you like the variety of Sri Lankan landscapes, Dunhinda WaterFalls is definitely worth a visit on your Sri Lankan tour. You may enjoy a gorgeous waterfall, sightseeing within the jungle, and a short hike for you. The falls were called after the human eye because of its creation by the river Badulu Oya. The word “Dunhinda” means “to vapor” in Sinhalese, and as a result, it also falls down in a deluge.
The Dunhinda Waterfalls descend a delightfully forested hillside before squeezing through a small opening between jagged boulders to form a spectacular, smokey cascade that rises 63 meters above the ground before smashing into a sizable basin at the bottom. The entire property features a gorgeous natural setting teeming with a variety of flora and animals, including butterflies, monkeys, birds, and lovely shrubs and plants. There is a minor falls along the road that is much wider. You can enjoy the waterfall vista to its fullest with the help of a suspended bridge and a recently built stage.
